Friday Funny

I haven't blogged much this week. Because of that I wanted to blog a true Friday Funny ;)

The other day out of the blue Jacob asked me a very serious question.

"Mom, when guys fight is it called a 'dog fight'?"

Ha! A very serious question indeed ;)

Last night I was sitting on Jacob's bed talking to him before he went to sleep. I told him he did a great job cleaning out his bookcase getting rid of his "little kid books" to make room for more grown up books. (Note... I have a large Rubbermaid container full of books I used to read to him or he used to read to me. I am keeping them. Yeah. I'm a packrat! But they're memories!)

I look around his room and noticed a pair of glasses in front of his tv. "Jacob, are those your old glasses?"

"Yeah. I put them on and they made me dizzy."

"Why don't you throw them away?"

"I'm gonna save them for my kids (He gets it honest!) so I can save some money."

I busted out laughing. "So I can save some money. Jacob, that's hilarious!"

"You never thought of that?"

Ha! I love that kid!

Kids will say the funniest things.
In your Thursday 13 you had some gorgeous pictures. The egg carvings are so delicate. It reminds me of a shop in Salzburg, Austria that sells hand painted eggshell ornaments that are so detailed and finely painted. I managed to get a couple dozen back on the plane and only broke one.

Here from Michele in the wee hours of the morning. Too much coffee taken in much too late.

remember that show? Kids Say the Darndest Things?

I have a friend with a little boy, well, he's not little anymore. He was looking at some old pictures of me, and yells "Dang, you were fat!"

And people wonder why I don't want rugrats. :)

Happy friday

That's great. I think he and mine are a LOT alike. He's always worrying about saving money and if we have enough for this or that. Kids can be so wonderful... :)

Heh, kids! They're so clever! When the son of a friend of mine was first learning about plurals he would try his hardest to be smart and think about what to add an "s" to: "ok, here is a piece of cheese".

"No, Mommy, I just want ONE chee..."

Kimmy...you are doing wonderful with this young man! When I was raising my kids on my own, my youngest broke his thumb at school and didn't want to let the school call me cuz he knew we didn't have health insurence, and didn't have the money...what did he think it would just go away? What a heart that boy had!
Hope you are doing better today! Have a great Friday! Thanks for the giggles!

That's so funny. Kids do say the darnest things. They are actually a lot smarter than adults at times, and they don't have to work on their timing either. It just comes naturally.
