Baylie update

I apologize to those of you who have been eager to hear an update on Baylie after her surgery. I haven't been feeling well. My fingers are having difficulty typing, and my brain is having difficulty getting the correct words and spelling out. It's taken more than five minutes just to write this much.

Here are the last two entries in Baylie's journal:

"Baylie is out of the hospital. The CT scan showed that her leg pain is coming from her tubing in her spine hitting a nerve. He gave her pain medicine and we are hoping that it will move on its own. He thinks that her abnomen pain may be caused from inflammation from the tubing. If it does not get better then he will have to replace the tubing.

She woke up this morning with terrible leg pain and a headache. We gave her all of her medicine. She seems to be doing a little bit better now.

Hopefully we will get to head home tomorrow if she does well today.

Thanks for checking up on her."

"We are home!!!! We got home yesterday just in time to go to "meet the teacher" at school. Both Abbey and Baylie got to meet their new teachers. Baylie really likes her teacher. Today was the first day of school, I only sent her for 2-1/2 hours since she is still having alot of headaches and her leg is really hurting her alot. We will do the same amount of time for the rest of this week and then see how she is doing for next week. The school is being wonderful and very understanding to the situation which is one less thing for me to worry about. It was hard leaving her today at school because I know when she is hurting she will not tell anyone because she does not want to be different from the other kids.

She fell right asleep tonight, she was exhausted.

Thanks for checking up on her."

And from me... thank you for your support and a HUGE thank you for posting about and/or inquiring about Baylie's bracelets!
